Galvannealed Steel
Hot- dip coated with a protective corrosion resistant coating of zinc and then heat treated to produce a zinc-alloy creating a matte finish.
Corrosion resistance approaching that of stainless steel.
Our galvannealed stock includes coating weights of A40 and A60.
Applications: Signs, metal doors, truck bodies, heater, and furnace parts.
Material complies to meet ASTM A653 specifications
Galvannealed steel is available by the sheet or coil.
Cold Rolled Steel
Carbon steel produced with a matte finish.
Our cold rolled steel is ideal for paints, enamels or lacquers.
Our cold rolled products complies to meet ASTM A1008 specifications.
Cold rolled steel available by the sheet or coil.
Hot Rolled Steel
Low carbon steel.
Hot rolled steel can be shaped and formed more easily.
Applications: tanks, barrels, and farm implements
Material complies to meet ASTM 1011 specifications
Hot rolled steel is available in a larger variety of sizes and shapes.
Polyvinyl Coated Steel (P.V.C.®)
Combines the strength and durability of steel with the chemical inertness of plastic.
PVC coated steel is ideal for exhaust systems in the plating industry where alkyl mercaptans, alkyl isocyanides, hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen chloride, etc. are used.
Cyanides and chlorides have been in direct contact with vinyl coatings for years with very good results.
PVC coated steel is ideal for hoods where exposure to radioactive isotopes is involved. There is no existing code — stainless steel is used only because of the ease of cleanup. Whereas PVC coated steel can be cleaned just as easily.
